VACCINE, YES OR NO?

I was wondering if the Standard non-covid flu vaccine is safe to take? In the past I would get flu vaccine starting in my mid 30's. When covid hit I stopped taking any kind of vaccine. Thank God I was never forced to take a covid vaccine. I am now in my mid 50's and just recently took the standard flu vaccine after not taking it since before covid. What are your thoughts on standard flu vaccine. I read somewhere that Moderna and others are working on a mRNA flu vaccine. I don't think I would ever take an mRNA vaccine.
