A THOUGHTFUL ADMONITION TO CANDACE OWENS

February 4, 2026

To my sister in Christ, Candace Owens, welcome HOME to the Catholic Church, started by Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a fellow conservative ‘Christ is King’ Catholic, I respect Candace's voice, her intelligence, her courage, I’m glad she speaks her mind and I share her frustration with many in the GOP.  In a recent podcast she said that the handling of the Epstein files by the Trump administration is the reason she will not participate in the midterms. She complained about the Epstein Files transparency which feels incomplete (because redactions are an issue for many Americans). But Trump DID sign the Transparency Act leading to millions of pages released just days ago, that’s real action. The Democrats didn't lift a finger on the Epstein files when they were in power.

In the 2026 DOJ release under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the law explicitly limits redactions mainly to victim-identifying information, child sexual abuse material, and sensitive details. Courts have been involved recently: victims' lawyers petitioned judges (e.g., Richard Berman and Paul Engelmayer) for intervention after botched redactions exposed names, leading to emergency hearings and orders for fixes. Many victims and their attorneys have actively demanded redactions. In the latest release (January–February 2026), survivors reported receiving death threats, private details exposed, and lives "turned upside down" due to insufficient redactions—prompting lawyers for nearly 100–200 victims to demand takedowns and better protections. The DOJ acknowledged pulling thousands of documents for re-redaction after victim complaints, emphasizing efforts to shield identities (though execution was criticized as sloppy).

Some prominent victims (e.g., Virginia Giuffre, Annie Farmer) have been public, but the majority prefer anonymity to avoid re-traumatization or threats. Redactions are not about hiding perpetrators but protecting innocent survivors.

Being a single voter issue misses the point; you can miss the forest for the trees. I understand Candace Owens’ frustration, but when influential voices pull back support over one issue, it can discourage others at a critical time as the 2026 midterms are approaching. Politics involves trade-offs, and no leader delivers 100% on every priority instantly, only JESUS CHRIST delivers 100% of His promises ALL the time. Withholding support or sitting out elections (especially midterms, where control of Congress is at stake), this could hand power back to forces far worse on nearly every conservative and Catholic value: open borders, radical gender ideology in schools, unrestricted abortion, and erosion of religious liberties.

The good news is that President Trump did address the Epstein files directly: he signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act in November 2025, which led to the Department of Justice releasing over 3.5 million pages of documents (including videos and images) in late January 2026. While Candace has recently pointed out that some names remain redacted or protected (a fair criticism shared by others), this represents the largest disclosure yet—something no prior administration achieved. It's progress worth acknowledging, even if imperfect. We win by incrementalism, we can’t let the best, become the enemy of the good.

There are so many other issues and very good gains that Trump and Maga have made in his first year of office.

Here is the bigger picture: his first year delivered historic wins on issues core to our faith and nation—securing the border like never before, defending religious freedom, boosting the economy without new wars. These aren't minor victories, many reverse decades of trends. Perfection isn't the standard (no politician meets it), direction is. Encouraging people to disengage helps only the opposition. Sitting out 2026 midterms risks losing it all to the radical left. We're better united on 80% than divided over 20%. Let's keep pushing him forward together and MAGA.

Key Trump/MAGA Gains in the First Year of the Second Term (2025)

These are substantiated from White House reports and public records:

Area             Achievement

Immigration/Border - Achieved negative net migration for the first time in decades; record deportations and border control restored.

Why It Matters to Conservatives/Catholics

Protects national sovereignty, reduces strain on communities, aligns with orderly/charitable immigration.

Area            Achievement

Economy/Energy - Unleashed energy production; cut regulations and bureaucracy; saved billions in wasteful spending (e.g., eliminating the penny).

Why It Matters to Conservatives/Catholics

Lower costs for families, job growth, energy independence.

Area             Achievement

Religious Freedom - Issued executive actions eradicating anti-Christian bias; proclaimed Religious Freedom Day; established a Religious Liberty Commission (including Catholic leaders like Cardinal Dolan and Bishop Barron).

Why It Matters to Conservatives/Catholics

Direct defense of faith in public life, schools, and workplaces—vital for Catholics facing cultural hostility.

Area             Achievement

Life/Family - Continued push to reverse Biden-era abortion expansions; pro-life groups note ongoing efforts to protect conscience rights and defund Planned Parenthood influences.

Why It Matters to Conservatives/Catholics

Advances human dignity from conception, core Church teaching.

Area             Achievement

Foreign Policy - No new wars; focused on America First deals reducing entanglements.

Why It Matters to Conservatives/Catholics

Promotes peace, avoids endless conflicts, draining resources.

Area             Achievement

Overall Governance - Record number of executive orders (143 in first 100 days alone) cutting red tape and restoring executive efficiency.

Why It Matters to Conservatives/Catholics

Delivers swift results for voters who elected him.

These aren't minor accomplishments, many reverse decades of liberal trends. Perfection isn't the standard (no politician meets it); direction is. Encouraging people to disengage helps only the opposition. We need to stay united as patriotic people of faith, united we stand, divided we fall. Division is a tactic of the woke left and Satan. The word Devil - (greek) ‘Diabolos’ is from the root ‘dia-ballo’ which means ‘to divide or separate,’ the Greek word diabolos also means "slanderer." That’s what the satanic left does, divide and separate the country through class warfare and race warfare. The left also uses slander as their preferred weapon when they communicate.

Saul Alinsky wrote a book outlining his organizational principles and strategies: called ‘Rules for Radicals’ (1971). Rules for Radicals opens with a quote about Lucifer, written by Saul Alinsky: "Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins -- or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom -- Lucifer."

Remember, Christians are called to be ‘the salt of the earth.’ Salt slows decay. Boycotting an election does not slow the decay. It quickens it. Christians need to vote; it is our civic duty. Fr Ripperger (Exorcist) says when neither candidate is perfect, then “the basic principle is, in a situation like that, then your obligation is to vote for the lesser of two evils. And the reason being is because, when you're voting for lesser evil, you're not voting for the person's evil. What you're voting for, is to preserve the good that would be lost if the other opponent got in, who is more evil…”

Two Pre-Vatican II theologians on voting:

Fr Adolphe Tanquerey (Thomistic moral theologian; 1854-1932; Manual of Dogmatic Theology) – If the vote is between two evil persons, one may vote for the less evil and most profitable to the cause of good. (Tomus Tertius, De Variis Statuum Obligationibus, Caput I, De officiis laicorum, n. 999).

Fr Benoit Henri Merkelbach (Thomistic moral theologian; 1871-1942) – When given a choice between two candidates who aren’t perfect, it is licit to elect the better candidate to prevent a more unworthy candidate from coming into power if there is no hope that a perfect candidate will be elected. “Voters who, through grave fault by abstaining from voting do not stop an evil decision, election, or law from coming to pass, if they are bound by a specific duty to stop a foreseen harm which follows, are cooperators in evil.” (Summa Theologiae Moralis, Tomus Secundus, Tractatus De Virtute Cardinali Justitiae, Tertia Pars, Sectio A, De Justitia Commutativa, n. 316).

Fr Dominic Prummer O.P. (Thomistic moral theologian; 1866-1931) concurs with both Priest I just referenced above on the ‘principles of voting for a Catholic.’

The only person that can STOP evil, especially the evil of child molesting is God (cf. 2 Thess 2:8; Rev 20:10) and he will do so at his second coming. For people of faith, it will be a ‘day of glory,’ for child molesters and all unrepentant sinners, it will be a ‘day of wrath.’ A person or a political party like Trump and MAGA can only slow down evil, they can’t stop it. Another democrat like Biden or Harris 4 year term would send us back 1,000 years, we would enter a religious persecution and censorship like we have never seen before. Our speech, guns and religious freedom would be cancelled, censored and subject to prosecution.

The Democratic Party is no longer the party of John F Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Scoop Jackson (D), President Hubert Humphrey (D), thirty-eighth Vice President under Lyndon B. Johnson) or President Thomas Jefferson (D). This party is morally degenerate. Author and talk show host Larry Elder explains that John F. Kennedy lowered taxes, opposed abortion, supported gun rights, and believed in a strong military. And he was a proud Democrat. But would he be one today?
