Suffering from depression and anxiety

QUESTION?

My cousin works as a prison guard in our local city.  He’s been suffering from depression and anxiety and I believe that it may be as a result of being around so many evil people.  Would you have any recommendations as to how he can protect himself spiritually?  Not sure if prison guards are allowed to carry anything on their person such as a sacramental?
