SIN OF HERESY

QUESTION? / COMMENT!

I just found out through Snapchat that my nephew was “baptized” again this last Sunday, in a Prtotestant church, which he attends with his grandparents (my sister, brother in law and his mother) I’m at a quandary… how does one respond to such a situation as this?? I’m saddened, offended and yes scandalized … I guess his parents obviously see that his Baptism in Catholic Church was not valid. I suppose poor catechesis at time of marriage when my niece and husband vowed to raise their children Catholic. (Married in Catholic Church)

In Catholicism it is the sin of heresy to be baptized twice in a lifetime, it is a mortal sin -   

Ephesians 4:4-5 (NAB) “one body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of  your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism.”
