A RESPONSE TO A SECULAR HUMANIST ON ORGANIZED RELIGION

QUESTION? / COMMENT!

When a secular humanist tell you "I am not against religion, just organized religion."

ANSWER! / COMMENT!

Here is something you should point out. The communitarian aspect of our religion is an effective rebuttal to the popular refrain, "I'm not against religion, it's just organized religions I don't like or believe in." How lame, anything worth saving demands that it be institutionalized, otherwise it cannot survive. Isn't that the purpose that people keep a diary? Our collective ancestral diary is the bible, and the instructions found in the N.T. Not to act on them is to dismiss them. God is all about order & organization. The Devil is all about disorder & disorganization. God organized Old Testament Judaism and then he transformed it to New Testament Catholic Christianity. Both these religions established by God have order and organization.

Imagine saying "I'm not against school, I'm just against organized school or I'm not against the Police, I'm just against organized Police or I'm not against traffic regulations, I'm only against organized traffic lights and laws. Everything that brings order to America has organization, Judges, Presidents, Senators, Congressmen, Mayors, Governors, Police Chiefs, Sheriff’s, Principals etc.

Scripture tells us: "Do not neglect to meet together as is the habit of some..." (Heb 10:25). We know that a way of getting a fire to burn out is to pull the logs apart. In a similar way, if we are pulled apart from each other, our fire will go out, both individually and collectively.
