PRAYING FOR PARENTS

I had a question regarding a prayer for my parents. Given the nature of authority in prayer, in that it is not advisable to pray a binding prayer for our parents as their son, I wonder what other prayer(s) I can say for them regarding their spiritual and psychological well-being. 

For instance, I have yet to announce to my parents that I am applying to a seminary to be formed as a priest. I wish to pray for myself but also for them do that they can receive my news well. Even though they are overall good people, they can be worldly as well and I worry that they would not take to my announcement very well. I was wondering if there is a prayer that I can pray daily in preparation for my announcement towards them.
