Catechism of the Catholic Church paragraph 2396. "Among the sins gravely contrary to chastity are masturbation, fornication, pornography, and homosexual practices."
The Catholic Church teaches that sexual intimacy is a gift to be shared by a married couple, it has a unifying principle and a procreative principle.
Masturbation does not unite you to another person and their is NO potential for human life.
