Know Thy Enemy - A Nefarious Bible Study.
QUESTION? / COMMENT!
One of our Knights of Columbus Councils is starting a Bible Study inspired by the movie Nefarious. It’s called “Know Thy Enemy”......Know Thy Enemy - A Nefarious Bible Study. Since we Catholics should be careful when it comes to bible interpretation and study, I wonder if you are familiar with the program, and if so, is it consistent with Catholic teaching? I guess it depends on whether the theology in the movie is consistent with Catholic teaching? I’m going to share a bit about you with the Council in case they would like to reach out to you further, but I hope to discover if “Know thy enemy” is ‘safe’ for our other councils to adopt.
Thanks for any insight you can provide!

This is a protestant bible study so it is going to be woefully lacking in the totality of spiritual warfare and the diabolic since protestantism has rejected 1500 years of Christianity which came before them. Protestantism lacks an understanding of Mary's role, sacraments and sacramentals in spiritual warfare. This movie was in large part written by the producers of this movie after having watched over 100 hours of Fr Chad Ripperger's lectures on youtube. How do I know that, they told me so personally at a conference in Austin Texas.
Finally, I think it is not wise to saturate your mind with endless study about the devil out of curiosity, which is what this looks like to me. If you want a simple easy read Catholic source on spiritual warfare and the diabolic purchase Fr Antonio Fortea's book: Interview with an Exorcist by Fr Antonio Fortea.
Hope that helps!
