Keep your eyes on JESUS

QUESTION? / COMMENT!

I follow you, VMPR, Timothy Gordon, Church Militant, and other like minded men
and organizations and agree with what you guys are saying.

I struggle with remaining Catholic due to the modernism.  I know the
apologetics fairly well that the Church is the one Christ founded, etc.  But
the reality of the modernism that has infected it makes me wonder.

I was hanging in there and doing the best I could until I realized this
point:

A future pope could with great difficulty disallow girls to be altar servers.
That modernist thing could be un-done.

But a year ago Francis allowed women to be instituted acolytes.  Yes, it's not
holy orders.  But it's a formal ministry in the Church and would be much
harder to be un-done by a future pope.

Both altar girls and female acolytes are modernist.

And now I think I'm realizing there is no hope for either of them going away.

I can continue attending the Ordinariate parish here so I don't have to see
it.  But the rest of the Church is Novus Ordo, and I'm in a Church that has
these modernist things.  And I don't see any hope in the future of them being
removed.  This is disconcerting and a challenge to my faith.

ANSWER! / COMMENT!

Modernism is the greatest threat to the Catholic faith, it is the worst of all heresies. However, my faith is in the ONE who started the CATHOLIC FAITH, not in any Pope, Bishop of Priest. I pray for their conversion and holiness. I keep my eyes on JESUS (Hebrews 12:2) and do whatever he tells me (cf. John 2:5). I will remain with Our Lady and the beloved disciple at the foot of the cross until my heart stops and I'm dead. There is no where else (cf. John 6:68). By leaving the Catholic Church you commit spiritual suicide. No thanks...
