SHORT PATRIARCHAL BLESSING

I bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

LONGER PATRIARCHAL BLESSING – LIGHT OF CHRIST
Raise your right hand over your wife and children living under your roof.
May the light of Christ be upon N., so that they see themselves as the Heavenly Father sees them; and that I see them as the Heavenly Father sees them. May I not be an impediment for their growth in holiness. May the light of Christ be upon me, that I forgive them as the Lord has forgiven me. Guard my family as the apple of your eye, and hide them in the shadow of your wings (cf. Ps. 17:8). "May the Lord bless them and keep them safe! May the Lord shine His face upon them, and be gracious to them! May the Lord look kindly upon them and give them His peace” (cf. Num. 6:24-26). Dear Lord, give N. the grace to assent to the truths of the Roman Catholic Faith and protect them (their spouses and their children) from the Evil One. Amen.
