HOW DO WE KNOW THERE IS A HEAVEN?

What should I say to my Catholic elderly neighbor who says- how do we know there’s a heaven . Nobody has come back to tell us how great it is .
I know you’ll have concrete answers for me to respond to this neighbor.

2.  I would read every Bible verse from the New Testament - once you've read every verse then you can make an informed decision as to whether their is a heaven of not. Without reading every bible verse, you can't make a rational decision on this topic.

About 4 to 15% of the world's population has had a near death experience. They all see a light at the end, they feel enveloped in incredible love, they feel a peace unlike anything they have ever felt on earth. My final thought on your question. The eagle eyes of Saint John, piercing the heavens, described the Celestial Jerusalem, in a unique, unparalleled language, full of poetry and beauty. The Scriptures describes Heaven as a Holy City, made of precious stones, whose light is God Himself. ‘And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth was gone, and the sea is now no more. And I John saw the holy city, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people; and God himself with them shall be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away. And he that sat on the throne, said: "Behold, I make all things new." And he said to me: "Write, for these words are most faithful and true"’ (Apoc. 21:1-5).

*Those who believe the man who made these promises are called Christians. Life's greatest adventure is to be one!
