FOUR WAYS PEOPLE CAN FALL PREY TO THE DEVIL

Years back I went to horror nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. It's a time in October where the theme park is decorated with macabre things (because of halloween) and there are people dressed in hideous costumes walking around following and scaring people. Also, there are mazes created where people go in and they get scared by monsters who jump out and wield fake knives and all sorts of horrible things at them. It's pretty much a spectacle where people go to what looks like a hell on earth as a form of entertainment...it's pretty disturbing.  In retrospect, I cannot believe that I went to a horrible event like that, but since I did, is there a particular way I should confess or anything I can do as a form of reparation/repentance for participating in such a horrible, pagan event?

Lastly, my brother is an officer and he told me that two of his fellow officers and he went into an abandoned hospital for the mentally ill that is in the neighborhood that they patrol, and they were going through the facility out of curiosity and not because there was a call or crime committed there. He says that horror movies and series are filmed there and that, in their ignorance (in my opinion) one of the fellow officers was saying "come out ghosts" etc. Is this not a bad idea, to go into a facility like that and to say things like that? I am wondering what I can tell my brother so he can be sure not to go into such places. He's smart, he will understand.

Fr Gabriel Amorth (Exorcist for the diocese of Rome) teaches that there are 4 ways people can fall prey to the devil:

One way is to go to evil places (or be with evil persons). Going to evil places attending spiritualistic sessions, dabbling in magic, consulting witches, witch doctors, card readers, satanic sects, occult superstitious practices and participating in a black mass.

To this category we can add mass media such as pornography, violent horror movies & some rock music which glorifies evil.

Going to a place known to be haunted or infested with demons and calling out a ghost (which means ‘a spirit’). There are two kinds of spirits, angels or demons.

Your brother invited a demon into his life, hopefully by the grace of God nothing happens to him but he must confess that mortal sin to a Catholic Priest.
