QUESTION?

When my relatives tell me they left the Catholic Church because they didn’t “feel anything” and now they’ve found God for real..... what would be the correct way to clear that up to them, and let them know that is not a reason to of left the Catholic Church?

ANSWER!

I would say: Praise God, congratulations, you opened your heart to Jesus and invited him in - that's great. However, you didn't have to leave the Catholic Church (which is the true Christian Religion) to open your heart to Jesus. We call that "an interior conversion" or a "metanoia." Now that you have open your heart to Jesus, come back home to the Catholic Church started by Our Lord Jesus Christ whom we both love and adore. Because only in the Catholic Church will you receive the fullness of truth and renew your commitment to HIM by receiving HIM in Holy Communion body blood soul ad divinity.
