Don't worry, they will be judged by God!
QUESTION? / COMMENT !
I'm a simple Catholic father and husband trying to live a life of sanctified grace. I continue getting asked at my local parish if I would join the Knights of Columbus but I have serious reservations about a supposedly non-profit group paying such lavish salaries like paying the current president close to $2M annually and even the past president making a quarter million. What are these men doing to deserve this cushy pay packet and couldn't the money be better used to serve the members and the truly needy? I know many of the dues paying members are working class guys making minimum wage and just barely getting by. This brings to my mind Matt 21:12 and I don't feel right in good conscience supporting this kind of hypocrisy. Unless there is a good reason that I'm not aware of.
My question is I know that most Knights are good honest Catholic men who just want to help so do you think it's right that I even ask this question when they pressure me to join the group? Or am I being scandalous asking this? I keep looking for a straight answer and having a hard time getting it. I don't want to cause trouble but to me this seems like a legit question we should all be asking for accountability. Any thoughts or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and keep up the great work!!!

Anything that human beings have their hands on has corruption, because all men are sinners and suffer from a wounded nature, not one institution is perfect. Having said that, what is your MOTIVE for joining the Knights of Columbus who's mission is Christ centered. Motive means everything when it comes to our final judgment. I can't fix that White House or the Papacy or stolen elections or my corrupt Governor or my woke Bishop, but I can influence my Parish, my neighborhood, my family and friends by aligning myself with other like minded Christ centered men. If the Knights of Columbus corporate is doing things that are dishonest and motivated by greed, don't worry, they will be judged by God, He see's everything. Nobody gets away with anything. The most important thing is to become holy or die trying.
