Do I as a practicing catholic wife have authority to command the demons to leave my husbands body?

QUESTION?

I’m getting confused.... I have the deliverance book by Father Ripperger, do I as a practicing catholic wife have authority to command the demons to leave my husbands body ? He is catholic and will not practice his catholic faith and he drinks. What prayers in there can I pray that you recommend?

ANSWER!

1. A wife has authority over her husbands body, not over him (cf. 1 Corinthians 7:4).

2. Her prayers are powerful if she is in a state of grace (cf. James 5:16).

3. She prays with humility, sincerity & perseverance, begging God with tears streaming down her face (cf. Hebrews 5:7; 2 Kings 20:5).

4. Her prayer should be very specific (cf. Matthew 7:7).

5. Her prayer should be according to Gods will (cf. Matthew 6:10).

Also, pray the rosary everyday for your husband so that your prayers can ‘merit for him the grace of conversion.’ Our Lady says in promise no.11 (of the Fifteen Promises of the Rosary). "You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the rosary."  

If you live in a state of grace you are personally protected from the diabolical, your tears, pain and suffering for your husband are meant to purify you and make you a saint (cf. Hebrews 5:7-9). Your prayers become more efficacious as you become holier (cf. James 5:16) and your role is to pray, do penance and suffer for the conversion of your husband (cf. 1 Cor 7:14, 16 “For the unbelieving husband is consecrated through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is consecrated through her husband…

Woman’s most powerful prayers are supplication, petition & intercession

*Prayers of supplication are the most effective prayers for a woman. In Matthew 15:21-28 & Mark 7:24-30 a Syrophoenician woman had a lot going against her. The Canaanites were looked down upon by the Israelites. She begged Jesus to heal her possessed daughter – and His disciples called her an annoyance. Yet she continued to cry out to Christ. She knew that He was God and she did not let the others around her to cause her faith to stumble. Our Lord Jesus Christ healed her daughter.

*In Luke 2:36-38 We are told in Scripture about Anna the widow and prophetess fasted, prayed day and night in the Temple for many years. The Lord blessed her faithfulness and allowed her to be one of the very first people to see and recognize that the baby Jesus was the Messiah.

*Hannah’s prays and pleads with God in a moment of desperation for a child (cf. 1 Samuel 1:9-20). Hannah poured out her heart to God with tears. God granted her desire and she bore the prophet Samuel. This is the pattern for all woman, bring your heart’s desires to God in prayer.

Fr Ripperger in his book would recommend that you say this prayer for yourself to stay protected:

Commission of the Care of Soul and Body May be prayed at any time, but especially before sleeping (pray this for yourself). 

For oneself: Into thy hands, Mary, I commend my body and my soul. I ask thee to provide for them and to protect them. I ask thee to protect them from the evil one. I ask thee enlighten my mind, strengthen my will, and refrain my appetites by grace. Our Lady and St. Michael, call down from Heaven the legions of angels under your command to protect me; I ask of thee all the things I ask of my Guardian Angel. My guardian angel, under thy intellectual and volitional protection I place my body. I ask thee to 20 illumine my mind and refrain my appetites. I ask thee to strengthen my cogitative power, my memory and my imagination. Help me to remember the things I should and not remember the things I should not. Help me to associate the things I should and not to associate the things I should not. Give me good clear images in my imagination. I ask thee to drive away all the demons that might affect me while I sleep (or throughout the course of the day). (Help me to sleep and, if thou should deem it prudent, direct my dreams. Help me to arise refreshed). Amen.
