Correcting Catholic Prelates

We have a new priest in our parish.  He is big on confession which I'm happy with & excited about. Question I have, is what should we do when he mentions in a public forum about what a person told him during confession.  That person was present in the meeting and he seemed to speak directly at him, it's a friend who told me about this.  If it was me I might go directly to the Bishop in a letter. I thought a Priest has a sacred oath to keep anything in confession to themselves. I'm not sure if I should do anything or stay silent.  Appreciate your thoughts.
