CONFRONT WITH RESPECT

I was in mass last week and the deacon was giving the homily.  He mentioned how we don't treat people of different sexual orientation properly and said twice that sexual orientation just doesnt matter.  I felt a pain in my heart hearing this said in my church by someone I know well.   I don't understand why he is saying this, and I don't understand why the priest celebrating the mass didn't have any problem with it.  I was going to talk to the pastor at our church and our Bishop.  I don't want to cause a problem for the deacon. Do you have any advise.

Confront him with respect and ask him why he is saying things that contradict Church teaching, names "that sexual orientation just doesnt matter." Read the CCC paragraph
