CONFESSION IS NOT JUST FOR MORTAL SINS

You and Terry urge us to go to frequent confession, once a month if possible. I think that’s a good a idea.  I try to do every couple months. But Sometimes I feel like I can’t think of anything, and I find myself bringing up old sins.  Without intruding on your privacy, have you ever felt like that.  Or what if you just really can’t think of anything at the time, but want to keep going to the sacrament, so that you don’t fall away from it.  If you have any input or references that can help, About examining your conscience, sure would appreciate it.

You can go to confession and just confess venial sins if thats all you have. Confession is not just for mortal sins, its primarily to receive sanctifying grace which makes you holier. We commit about 7 venial sins a day (cf. Proverbs 24:16).
