CHOOSING A REBELLIOUS CHILD OR CHOOSING JESUS CHRIST

QUESTION? / COMMENT!

My husband and I are navigating a challenging family situation and would be grateful for your insights. Our daughter recently entered into a same-sex marriage, which presents a significant conflict with our Catholic faith. My husband reluctantly attended the ceremony, having been advised by our daughter that declining could sever their relationship. We are now struggling with how to proceed. How does one balance deeply held religious convictions with maintaining a relationship with a child, especially concerning visits from her and her "spouse" to our home? Your guidance on this sensitive matter would be profoundly appreciated.

St Augustine says "love the sinner but hate the sin." A Catholic can never witness a ceremony that offends God and His Holy Word.

Do I choose to please JESUS CHRIST or do I choose to please my rebellious child who wants to engage in a sinful lifestyle and wants my approval, my child wants me to violate my moral conscience and my Catholic faith? No way...
