CAN A FEMALE CONDUCT A COMMUNION SERVICE IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH?

 QUESTION? / COMMENT!

What is your opinion when a priest is not available to say mass and a lay female minister conducts a communion service. It just didn't look right,  nor did it feel right to see a woman opening the tabernacle, praying at the altar, and distributing communion.

That is a Liturgical violation. This is not allowed in the General Instruction of the Roman Missal which governs the postures and prayers of the Liturgy. A Deacon is allowed in case of emergency to do a para-liturgy. I would report this to the Pastor and than to the Bishop and demand that they provide you with the Church teaching (book, paragraph and page number) that allows for a laywoman to do this.
