CAN ANGELS SUFFER?

Are you guys sure that angels don’t suffer?  I’ve always felt sorry for guardian angels, including my own, when their people don’t act right.  I figured it must be frustrating, disappointing, and annoying for them.

According to Catholic theology and the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas, angels are spiritual beings who cannot suffer in the same way humans do. In his seminal work, the "Summa Theologica," Aquinas discusses the nature of angels extensively. He explains that angels, being pure spirits without physical bodies, do not experience physical pain or suffering.

However, Aquinas acknowledges that fallen angels, such as demons, experience a form of suffering related to their separation from God and their awareness of the loss of the Beatific Vision, which is the direct experience of God's presence.
