ARE GOOD ANGELS ALWAYS STRONGER THAN DEMONS?
St. Thomas Aquinas says that, even though it would seem logical that certain of the higher demons may seem to be superior to the lower angels due to their different natural powers even in a fallen state, it's not true, however, that demons are stronger than angels, ever. "An angel who is inferior in the natural order presides over demons, although these may be naturally superior, "he says, "because the power of Divine justice to which the good angels cleave, is stronger than the natural power of the [demons]. St. Thomas seems to apply that distinction to the whole angelic hierarchy: namely, that even the lowest angel is more powerful than the strongest demon.
