Was their time before God created everything?
Answer!
Without order and creation there is NO time, because time is created to work in harmony with order and creation. In order to understand the book of Genesis (and the Hebrew Scriptures) in light of Jewish theology you must understand two words, order and separation. In Genesis 1 God first brings order to chaos and than he separates. This is also what he did with the creation of the first man (Adam), he created him orderly (with design) and than he separated him by fashioning Eve from his side as his perfect helpmate (D. Prager).
