Liberal vs Reactionary

A reactionary may be described as a man with two feet in a pair of shoes but he absolutely refuses to walk. A liberal has been very well described as one who has both feet firmly planted in mid-air. It is easy to fall into the pit of being a reactionary as it is easy to fall into the hole of being a liberal – all one has to do is to go to an extreme (The Quotable Fulton Sheen; p.164).
