Daily Reflection — September 16, 2026

The cross, sign of contradiction - The cross itself, just that figure, is the symbol of absurdity, because the upright bar of life is contradicted by the horizontal bar of death. The ego is contradicted by the other-ego, the negation of identity. By itself, it is the symbol of absurdity. But if you put someone on it, who teaches the lesson that death is the condition of life, then the cross is no longer absurd. Then it becomes a philosophy of life.
