IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THE DEVIL OR A DEMON TO LOOK BEAUTIFUL?
St. Paul says that the devil and his associates can come dressed as an "angel of the light," so indeed it is possible for demons to take on an attractive appearance at times. I have even known the devil to falsify, in the mind of one of his victims, an image of the Virgin Mary for a time. However, the devil can never sustain a beautiful appearance for any length of time. Beauty militates against his nature, and he is digusted by it. His "beautiful" appearance is more appropriately described as seductive like the androgynous image of the devil in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ.
The devil's main way to use beauty is through his worldly servants who take God's many gifts with all their inherent beauty and use them to seduce men into sin. Sinful institutions such as pornography, drugs and some forms of music all misuse and pervert the beautiful things of this world for demonic purposes. "Whatever works" to drag souls to hell is his motto.
